Readers Club was started for improving the skill and knowledge of the Rural Children studying in Schools. It is started on 2nd December 2006. 85 students participated for the preliminary meeting from Amala High School, Government Higher Secondary. Schools (Boys and Girls), St.Mary's Matriculation School, Kariapatti, SarvaSeva Matriculation School, Thonugal. The main aim is to enrich Reading Habit of the Students as well as Sports activities and Cultural talents. One more thing is that Spoken English class is taken for the students. Readers Club meeting is conducted every Saturday by 2.30 p.m. Average 25 students have been attending the class every week. To mould them with good quality of character, we have offered moral class teaching on different subjects, like How to face the problem? How to behave in other places? and what is discipline? In future it has been planned to ensure that all Readers club members (Students) should have acquired fluency in English as the employment opportunities are depending upon the English. Through teaching moral class, we have to make every student as a role model in the society.
